CrazyBirds

Here are my first crazy birds...stamps are by Tim Holtz...

I used a variety of techniques.  I use tim holtz distressed ink for the birds and the green bird was markers..shading is my challenge....then for the presents most were done using pencils and gel pens.  I shade better using pencils.

I did not glue anything down yet...work in progress. ..

February 2016

Here we are in February. I recieved both kits The Paper Pumpkin and the Simon says Stamps kit.

I realized that I prefer the Simon says Stamp kit once again.   The paper pumpkin had a cute kit....filled with hearts twine mini clothes pins and a cute stamp.  I do love receiving the kits each month and I am a beginner I just want to lmake cardsI just wish it was only cards...

So I made a decision to let it go, the paper pumpkin kit, that is.  I stuck with Simon says Stamps  kit because I love everything in the kits this far...

I was happy with this card...it was hard to keep simple because I find myself wanting to add more and more....but I did not and became happy with my choice.
The Hello card was created using the SSS kit inserts. I also used the heart from the Paper pumpkin kit.
This card "Feel the Love" is my favorite card...I love the way it popped.

My 2nd Round of Cards

Simon says Stamp kit SSS January 2016

Ok so I also ordered the Simon says Stamp kit. Really cute items in the kit.

This kit I did find it to be a bit more advanced for the beginner.   I found myself wanting to put more embellishments on one card...hahaha..so I ended up with one card.

I also received the January 2016 kit for Paper Pumpkin.  I didn't make the kit only because I didn't want a desktop calendar.

I was disappointed because I really wanted to make cards...and was not prepared for a desk calendar...that's ok, there were pretty cardstock that I will use for another project.

This card was designed using parts of the SSS kit.  And the trim I used quilling paper. .......

My 1st cards Dec 2015

Courtesy of Paper Pumpkin!

It was so exciting to receive my very first card making kit.   I immediately dove in and started putting the cards together.

Even my son Grady made a card. ..i love his so much I can't ever give it away

Paper Pumpkin Dec 2015...the second card was made by Grady 9yrs old..oh how I wanted to help but he said mom let me do it all by myself...I am so proud of what he created. ..and love what he wrote on the card,  too cute.

This card i still haven't finished.  I used the cardstock from dec 2015 paper pumpkin and I drew the branches,  colored the owl from paper smooches using gel pens.

I love the colors on this card but I did remove the holly cause I thought it was overkill.  So now i am left with the card. ..lets see if I ever finish this card. ..
This card was created using part of the paper pumpkin kit and I added the glitter card stock and the mele kalikimaka stamp which I got from Walmart. ..

The Beginning

Sitting here looking at a blank page trying to decide what I should write about or add to this new page.

Asking myself why I am starting a blog when I am so busy?

When will I have time to add to it and what will I say?

Then I realize this is where I can add my finished crafts,  a place where I can share what I have made,  what I am working on,  and use this blog as a place to jot down my experiences through the process.

Another outlet to express myself freely.

This has the same feeling as when I look at a  blank piece of paper before starting a new project, a new idea.  You sit, you stare, you attempt to start, and you hesitate. ...but then something happens you put the pencil onto the paper and ideas begin to flow.

What an amazing feeling. ..I absolutely love to draw.  I just haven't in a really long time. But this is a new year for beginnings
